About Us
Passionate indie/rock covers band
We’re George, Frank, Tom, and Joe – a bunch of mates who’ve been playing music together for over two years.
We’re all about the music and having a laugh. We’re not too bothered about being fancy, we just want to play the tunes we love and get people moving.
We play a mixed bag of genres, including indie rock anthems from bands like Arctic Monkeys, rock classics, and even some heavier stuff for good measure.

Our setup
We’ve got our own PA system (which is fully PAT tested) that’s meaty enough for most indoor and outdoor venues.
We have our instruments, mixer, amplifiers and if needed lighting rig too, so we’re pretty self-sufficient when it comes to live performances and can manage every aspect of the setup for your event.
We’re also comfortable working with sound engineers for small festivals and larger events too.
To be honest, we’re not about being flashy, we just want to play good music and have a good time doing it.
Where did your band name come from?
Well, it’s a bit of a bland story. First off all, we all just really like Guinness. And, that’s about as far as our creative process got to be brutally honest.
We were all sitting around a table in a boozer mid practice session, sipping on a pint and someone said, “Let’s call ourselves Split The G!”
For some reason (not quite sure why), it just stuck.
